Festival of the Lower Planes

12th-18th of Zehindur- The Festival of the Lower Planes is a week long festival that coincides with the yearly shrinking of the distance between the prime Material Plane and the Lower Planes. The Superstitious believe this to be the effort of the Doomward gods to crash the material plan and the lower planes into one another. Cosmologists however theorize it is simply the natural wobble and orbit of the planes. Regardless of the reason, Demons, devils and fiend sightings are more frequent during this week of the year. Celebrations are held to variously keep a community safe from any denizens or leaders of the lower planes. Each day of the festival is dedicated to one of the Lower Planes. Acheron, Pandemonium, Carceri, Gehena, Hades, The Nine Hells, and the Abyss. The biggest celebrations happen on the last two days known as Nine Hells Eve and Abyssmas.
