Festival of Daring

23rd of Korli- The Festival of Daring is the celebration of the god of strength Kord. On this day communities engage in challenges of strength, stamina, and sparing to prove to themselves and Kord they have spent the year growing and improving. Races, Wrestling matches, Jousts, and Hammer Throwing are a few of the top events people compete in. The Storm Chase is the biggest event and is normally only held in the largest of cities. The Storm Chase consists of several rounds of events that are meant to prove a competitors mental and physical strength. During the Storm Chase competitors must run through a muddy swamp, Swim through a series of maze-like underwater tunnels, climb up a shear rock face, and finally face one another in unarmed combat. The winner of the Storm Chase is given the favor of Kord for the upcoming year anyone who dies during the race, which often occurs, is given a place in the halls of Ysgard among the honored dead.
