Biloren the Unsilenced

As a young woman Biloren was always filled with rage, she would lash out at every perceived slight against her. It might have ruined her life it it wasn't for an unexpected friend. At a time in her life when others had learned how to take advantage of her rage and use it to their own ends, Biloren was on the cusp of becoming a criminal. During one such event Biloren was about to lose herself completely and kill someone when a voice from behind her said, "you should stop." The compulsion to do so was so strong that Biloren could not resist it. The voice spoke again, "calm yourself." She began to fall out of her rage and realized what she had been about to do. A young man near her age came to her and laid his hand on her shoulder as she began to cry. From that moment they were the best of friends. He was her check against her worse nature and she was his shield and axe. Over time friendship turned into love and the two got married. Their small family grew by one when Biloren became pregnant. Over the years Biloren became known as a very skilled pit fighter and mercenary, she always had someone or another asking her to lend them her strength. Eventually the palace came calling and Biloren was offered a position in the Kings guard. The kings guard was an easier job and allowed Biloren to spend more time with her family so she gave up the mercenary life to settle in Truex. Biloren started low on the ladder as a palace guard but rose quickly due to her strength and ability to pacify most challenges. She made strong friendships and allies in her time among the guard, people she would consider friends for the rest of her life. On a particular diplomatic outing to Segratia the King's delegation was attacked by a pack of Wereboar. The rest of the retinue were killed but Biloren was able to turn back the attackers before the king could be harmed. In recognition of her good work the king wanted Biloren at his side, so he promoted her to captain of his personal guard. The king wanted this surprise to be special so he traveled to Biloren's own home to deliver the news. When he arrived he was taken with the burgeoning preteen beauty of Biloren's Daughter, Deeann. For the next year, as Biloren was worked into her new position, the king's fascination with Deeann became an obsession. He found every excuse he could to have the family over to the palace so he could look at the young girl. He offered to have Deeann tutored at the palace or to have an afternoon job within the court. Biloren always refused these offers not wanting to mix her personal and professional lives. "what if she had to choose between her daughter and the king" she would say as intermediaries relayed the kings offers. With all his efforts waylaid the king began to make a different plot. He called Biloren into his chambers and ordered her to lead an assault on the largest criminal organization in Truex, The Dawn. He provided her a token force and sent her to attack their strong hold at midnight. Once she left the king sent a message warning The Dawn of the impending attack. Satisfied Biloren would be silenced the king went to her home with members of The Dawn and raped the young girl. They beat Biloren's husband near to death in the process. When the King had finished his conquest he beat Deeann unconscious. They left the two to die as they set the home on fire. Biloren's husband, badly hurt but motivated as only a father whose child was in danger could be, was able to use the last of his strength to heal his daughter's worst injuries and as he burned alive he tossed her into the small cellar of the home. Unbeknownst to anyone but Him and Biloren, he had been using a bond between his own mind and hers to moderate Biloren's rage all these years. The moment he saved his daughter he succumbed to his injuries and this bond was broken. Biloren at that moment was in mid battle with The full force of The Dawn. Her troops were almost all gone and she was being pressed, but as this damn in her mind broke the rage filled her. Mindless anger and fury took her. No wound could slow her no enemy could match her strength. She cut them down with ease until all were dead or fled. She remained unaware of what was happening at home and returned to the palace to report her victory to the King. He was shocked to see her but congratulated her and sent her on her way. When she arrived at home she found the rubble of her life, the body of her husband and eventually discovered her barely alive and unconscious daughter. When word reached the palace many of the king's guard came to help Biloren rebuild and care for her child. When the king was informed that Deeann was still alive he became panicked. He called in all his guard to the palace but Biloren would not come. She resigned her position to care for her daughter. The king had no way to get to her without making his crime obvious. He tried The Dawn again but they were so disorganized by the raid that he could not even find a leader to speak to. The king decided public relations would be his best defense. If he was a good king no one would believe he could do such a horrible thing. For the next months he went on an amazing campaign of feeding the poor, renovating the streets, reducing the crime. For eight months he continued this and it worked, The people were adoring of him, anytime he came into the street they would shower him with flower petals. He had become the most beloved king in the history of Truex. But that is when Deeann finally woke up, to a swelled belly now nearly ready to give birth to her attackers child. The first four words out of her mouth changed the kingdom forever. "The king did this." Biloren's joy of her daughter waking was replaced by a white hot furry the likes of which she had never felt. She stood up grabbed her armor and axe and stalked to the palace. Every person in her path fell to her blade, friend or foe made no difference. If they were in her way she would cut them down. She killed more than 30 people many her friends in the guard others innocent servants until she finally stood before the king. She was a monster, covered in blood both hers and that of her victims. She didn't hesitate she didn't speak she just buried her axe in his head. Her task done she left the palace to return home. She was mobbed before she could get there, the crowd almost killed her but the high chamberlain stopped them and placed her under arrest. Regicide was of course a death sentence no matter the reason, not that she was given a chance to provide evidence at her trial. As soon as the Chamberlain heard her story he had her gagged and would not allow anyone to hear her speak, he even placed deaf mutes as her jailers. She was beaten in the public square daily for a month prior to her scheduled execution all the while gagged. She had no word of her daughter and no idea if she lived or had been found and killed to protect the king. Her final sentence was to be quartered alive, Flayed alive, and then hung until dead after which her soul would be banished to the 9 hells. No sentence this extreme had ever been given but no one had ever single handedly ended a monarchs line since the king had no known heir. ON the day of her execution as she was being lead to the chopping block she caught a glimpse of her daughter. Her relief was undeniable. Where most people would be nervous onlookers could see Biloren smile at the edges of her gag. As they chopped off her arms and legs she whimpered but still smiled, as they pealed the skin from her body she still grinned, and when they finally placed her stump in the noose to hang she could see her newly born grand child in the arms of the sobbing Deeann She bit through her gag and as she gasped for breath she shouted out the kings crimes and declared the proof in her daughter's arms. Ironically the lack of arms and legs and skin left her body quite light and able to resist hanging. She did eventually expire from blood loss but not before telling the whole story to the assembled crowd. As her soul was being condemned the crowd and court mages took stock of the child and the charges, The child had the king's hair color and eye color and most importantly the mark of heredity magically passed through the Truex line. The queen horrified by the actions of her husband immediately took Deeann and the child into the court. She also had the high chamberlain exiled for keeping the kings actions a secret. For the next 18 years Deeann and she ruled in concert in the name of the child, who was named Biloren. It was deemed that from that moment on every daughter in the Truex line would carry the name Biloren in honor of Biloren the unsilenced and the betrayal she was subject to. Upon her condemnation she was judged by Kelemvor to be filled with righteous rage but her crimes against friend and foe alike could not be overlooked. She was sentenced to eternal damnation in the nine hells, but she was deemed to valuable to simple toil as a Lemure. Instead she was given station as one of the Lower Planes Tormentors, she was the vengeance of the Innocent, tasked with bringing punishment to those who harm children.
