Abyssmas

18th of Zehindur- Abyssmas is the feast day dedicated to the Denizens of the Abyss. On this day people dress in costumes to convince the creatures of the Abyss that they are one of them. This day is part of the Festival of the Lower Planes, a week long festival celebrated to honor all the lower planes. However most communities only celebrate the final two days honoring the two most feared planes of existence. During the celebration those dressed in costumes (normally adults) travel from door to door checking to see if there are "Demons" within. A home where a "Demon" answers the door (normally a child) is given a Confection or treat of some kind as a ransom to leave the home unharmed. In some places this is switched where the "Demons" travel from home to home and any home where a "demon" does not answer the door must bribe the "demon" at the door to get them to leave in peace, bribes normally come in the form of Candies or Coppers. A home not providing a treat to the "Demon" may potentially be subject to a prank.
