The Fall of Survival Wall

The loss of the original Survival Wall was a geographical catastrophe. It acted as an anchor for protection, trade, and research. The Base was given a large birth and could oversea such a swath of land that crime and monster attacks were far and few in between. Now with the old base gone and the first one rudimentary at best, the area has become hazardous with crime and monsters. The crater itself gives itself to monsters fighting each other to determine the strongest to lead them, and it continues to get worse. The natural magic and addition ambient magic from so many Leoht Orbs exploding is a highly nutritious environment for anything connected to magic to thrive in.

Manifestation

An arcane experiment was conducted at the Survival Wall years ago. The area is on a ley line for magical energy and provides ease of access for connection magical energy into powerful relays. A group from the Moonlight Ravens had gathered 10 Leoht Orbs to try and assemble into a second high security prison like the one made in times of yore. The experiment failed due to an arcane explosion. The resulting damage destroyed the center mountain created a valley instead. What remained of the mountain base was all but dust. Since then, no additional research can be conducted by the Moonlight Ravens unless lead by one of their top leadership and previous approval by at least three City-States.

Localization

Due to the natural ley line and the explosion of so many Leoht Orbs, the area of Survival Wall has magical abnormalities. Where general magical practitioners may feel a sense of control over their own abilities, they would find themselves struggling to maintain the same proficiency as they would elsewhere. For those with more natural or innate magic, the area is a minefield that could risk life and limb.
