Goblins

Goblins were once faeries, much akin to brownies, before they were spoiled by the Fomor. Selfish hoarders, gluttonous, impulsive and nasty, goblins infest most places in the world. Like cockroaches, they adapt uncannily to their environments and overpopulate and ruin them quickly if not checked. They have no gender and multiply through mutated replications that grow in eggs on their backs.
Goblins are of primitive intelligence, more prone to mimicry than understanding. Most civilized races find them vile, lower than animals, as even those with some awareness use it only to lie and cheat. If kept on a short leash, some magica users have used them as servants, though most find it distasteful.
Like all monsterkind, goblins have no reverance for life.
