Archmagus Penelope Altarbore (a.k.a. Iuris)

An uncompromising woman, Archmagus Iuris won her position through sheer intelligence and magical aptitude. Since the Academy Arcane was founded, Archmagi have been exclusively full-blooded elves -- until Iuris. She seeks to prove that all races are capable of arcane prowess and discipline, not just elves. Perhaps her half-elven heritage served as a stepping stone towards this goal, but there are some who would use that very heritage to prove their racially-biased point by orchestrating her failure.
