The Log-Eater Tribe
The Log-Eater Tribe is a tribe of goblins that lives in Strachow Forest. They are a tribe of Goblins who left Rhaal'tuuch in 1300 AR. They were originally sent to chase a group of mercenaries passing through Goblin territory, thought to have been members of the Zamachowiec. The group was led by an ambitious goblin whose name is not allowed to be spoken. As the group passed Czarna Passage, they argued about whether they would head on, exploring the forest, or if they would head back. However, in the middle of this, the leader of the group began to gnaw his way through a tree out of frustration. The others, so impressed by his display of oral power, declared him King Log-Eater, and that was the birth of The Log-Eater Tribe.
Since 1300 AR the tribe has expanded, and it now has almost 1,000 members. Most of the goblins live in the southernmost part of Strachow Forest, for their King, Log-Eater, worries that goblins from Rhaal'tuuch might come for vengeance one day. Beyond that, it's the kings ultimate goal to conquer the larger settlement, just south of Strachow Forest.
The tribe is spread out across the forest, with about 800 members in the south preparing their attack on the settlement. Though conflict is brewing with the Gnolls of the Brask Lands, who also see the settlement as a valued price.
In the north, the king has a roughly 200 goblins spread about, some patrol, but a number of them wage a small-scale conflict against the Giant Eagles living on Mount Strachow. The Eagles are losing, but it's a difficult fight for the Goblins, and both sides would greatly appreciate help, though only the goblins can communicate that. The leader for this conflict on the side of The Log-Eaters, is a goblin known as Log-Splitter, and he is a goblin who was born with an extra arm, so he can wield a shield, and a two handed axe at once. He is also incredibly clumsy though, with the arm making it difficult to balance with such a small body, and such large weaponry.
Log-Splitter can offer players a fairly large sum of gold if they can somehow kill the leader of the Giant Eagles, whom the goblins call Giant Eagle, they do refer to the other Giant Eagles as just Eagles.
