The Harbingers of the Raven Queen

The servants of the Raven Queen, also known as Avalore, the Goddess of Death, The Harbingers, much like the The Sentinels of Afrid, are celestials of near god-like power, acting on the behalf of Avalore, aiding in the guiding of mortals into their place in the afterlife, whether that be in Elysium or into the endless pits of Underworld, where forgotten souls will either make their way to the nine realms of Hell or the Banished Vale.
Despite their power, and being the equals of some Lesser Gods, Harbingers are more so messengers and guides and are not known for being warriors. Many bear the signature look of long, black cloaks, raven like wings and deadly scythes in case they should ever meet resistance from mortals, as they could either intimidate them into co-operate, or quite easily rend their souls out of existence.
Largely untouched by the events of The Divine Exodus, the Harbingers continue their work, as their job in allowing souls to pass into the afterlife is pivotal in the workings of the Cycle. Although some fear the Harbingers, many that worship Pantheon of the Chthonic simply see them as doing a necessary, yet undesirably duty, accepting their hand when it is their time to go.
