Glithi

One of the Humanoid races native to the continent of Aislion, the Glithi are a race born of the earth, resembling the gems found under the desert regions. owning to their resilient and stable cuture, the Glithi people as a race have remained almost completely unchanged in their traditions over the last several hundred years. While no living Glithi seems to have been alive at the time of the Uplifting, the Glithi people have a very long memory and so some such an event was merely a few generations past.

Gender Ideals

Glithi have no true gender, although many times they will fashion themselves to resemble those of other races.

Courtship Ideals

Glithi are an asexual race, reproducing without the influence of other Glithi's genetic material. This means they have never developed any form of marriage or courtship rituals as it is simply not a need for them.

Relationship Ideals

While Glithi do not traditionally marry, they are still known to create relationships with each other and even other races that resemble the committed relationships found in other peoples. Glithi focus more on the spiritual side of themselves and find that to be a more valuable part of other people. Individuals who are strong of will or possessing of a "deep soul" (a term used by Glithi to describe those who seek answers about the world through meditation and introspection) are often preferred friends of the Glithi people. 
Relationships with other races prove unique in each case as a Glithi who engages in a long term friendship or relationship finds themselves to change noticeably in temperament to match their friend or partner. A once calm Glithi can find themselves far more volatile should they maintain a long friendship with a hot headed Satyr.

Average Technological Level

Glithi were the first race to use the gems for their magical purpose, using them more as magical amplifiers. while they have not fully embraced the gem-tech brought from Dwarven ingenuity, they have begun to use smaller things such as clockwork watches.

History

Glithi have not been uplifted by the Circle as they refused such influence. They have held to their ways for centuries, following their nomadic paths through the desert from one spiritual site to the next. This has been their nature as far back as records show. 
After the Uplifting of the Dwarves , a small group of Glithi found the industrious nature of the dwarves to be curious and partnered with them. This partnership formed the foundation of the large city, Glith-Dardin . The Glithi gave the Dwarves knowledge regarding the crystals native to the desert caves and in return the Dwarves established the Glithi as a staple people in the city.
