Thaddeus Froud is the third son of a lesser noble in Kuststêd. Given his family’s meager wealth, he set out to make his own fortune as a trader in exotic goods. He soon learned that obtaining such goods was difficult and very expensive, but with the right clothes and attitude one could convince a buyer of the exotic nature of even the most mundane of items and double their price. This should not be construed as being dishonest. In fact, Thaddeus always obeys the letter of the law and never lies about his products.
