Asiedwe Dunwaddle

Background: Asiedwe began her administrative career as clerk for the military. She kept her office running like clockwork, but was always infuriated by the incompetence of the town clerks. When the position of Reeve became open, she decided it was time for the town to have someone more adept in the position and volunteered. She had little trouble securing the position since she had the recommendation of the fort commander, but the real task was the road ahead. Upon gaining access to the records, Asiedwe learned that what she had thought was incompetence was intentionally sloppy paperwork used to cover up illicit deals, embezzlement, and favoritism. She was outraged. During her first year, she restricted all business to essential operations while she pored over what records there were and gathered information. She then began the process of reclaiming funds, ending inappropriate contracts, and prosecuting anyone found to be complicit in the previous Reeve’s activities. While her methods and actions disrupted the status quo, they also resulted in an immediate change within the functioning of the town as Lower Mariston began receiving the funds that had been redirected to East Bank. Since then, she has kept the town running smoothly and fairly.   Appearance: Her brown hair is always kept tied up in a bun or styled with rolls or braids giving her a stern and officious appearance. Her simple but elegant attire befits her status while fulfilling her desire for comfort and function. Asiedwe is average height for a gnome, but often wears heeled or thick soled shoes so that she can gain a few more inches.   Mannerisms: Asiedwe is blunt to the point of being rude and doesn’t abide flowery speech or small talk. When agitated, she often begins pacing, waving her arms, and mumbling to herself while she thinks through what needs to be done or said. As the town reeve, Asiedwe prides herself on treating everyone fairly, even if that means some feel slighted.   Motivations: She strives to be completely impartial when making decisions and carrying out her duties. By remaining unbiased, she believes she not only does a great service to the town but shows her own superiority by not letting her own beliefs and emotions affect her judgment. Her reputation and her position mean more to her than anything else.
