Titans of the Earth

The titans formed from earth were the creations of Geostros the Mountain Father, and indeed, many of those titans are among the first and greatest of mountains. In the time before the Cataclysm, they were the only mountains on Aims, the others being created in the upheaval of the Draconic Schism.
There were also the titans known as the Great Beasts, or the Primordial Guardians, eight vast animals intended to preserve the titans' domains on the surface. Accounts do not accurately define the natures of the eight, but it is agreed that four of the Beasts were the Bear, the Ox, the Quake Lizard, and the Wolf.
The most successful of the earth titans were the Stoneshapers, many-armed builders and architects who created the mansions of the sky cities. They built in a style much emulated, though never yet equalled, creating vast, airy spaces from mighty columns of stone, with sweeping arches and buttresses combining elegance and strength.
Like the other high titans, the stoneshapers fell in battle, succeeded by an Ord of giants who made a mystical art out of architectural aesthetics, seeking truths when the stoneshapers only sought beauty.
Three mountains survived the cataclysm and sought shelter among the mountains thrown up by the upheaval. They long ago become immobile, and many different regions claim to contain one of them. The four 'known' Beasts also survived, but like the mountain soon fell into a dormant state, from which they can only be roused, it is said, by the cries of those whose cause is just.
