Koalinth

The koalinth are considered a part of the Seafolk, but they do not share the ancient, mingled heritage of the other seafolk races. Instead, they are primarily descended from goblinoids, mostly of the hobgoblin type, who went into the seas to escape the slavery of the Horde, and adapted to aquatic life. They retain much of the martial bent of land-dwelling hobgoblins, but tend to ally themselves with other seafolk and form small enclaves in their kingdoms, instead of forming a larger society of their own.
