Faendr
Abominations of Asef, originally spawned by the attempts of other Giants or Giant-Kin - usually hill giants, viktar, ogres or goliaths - to increase their own power with that of the Void, they are creatures of mayhem and cruelty. They may be physically fair, intelligent and charismatic, but by rising to complete the initiations of their kin they must prove that they have no empathy, no kindness, and very little patience. Those who do possess those qualities never make the pacts and compromises required of the initiations, and either escape - in which case they are considered lesser giant-kin, neither the wider orden nor any fomorian sept recognising them as fomorian - or die.
Compelled by the power which was instilled within them, initiated fomorians worship Demons and Colossi and honour them with chaos and slaughter. They forcibly induct both their own children and other captive giants into their dark cults, creating a toxic culture unique to each sept, as fomorian spcial groupings are called.
Life within a faendral sept is entirely dedicated to driving its members to seek power and advancement, escaping cruelty by becoming cruel. There is a great pressure to gain more power by making additional deals, which cause the faendri's body to display its inner corruption through darkened veins or reddened eyes, and warps the mind and soul with unnatural hungers and fulminating rages. The most powerful among them can project the power of the Void in a debilitating stream called the evil eye.
The giant generals of Eurosia sometimes deploy faendr shock troops, but these are almost bestial things, faendr who took more power than their bodies and souls could contain and whose physical forms are distorted with demonic features. Despite terrible strength and command of the evil eye, within faendral septs these monsters are considered the greatest failures, the dregs, too weak to contain the power for which they have bargained and suited only for cannon fodder.
