Cosmogony of the Sacred Republic

This is what the Church teaches: The world was forged in the distant past by the hands of the Primeval Gods, who swiftly abandoned their creation to the custodianship of a race called the Titans. The Titans and their gods proved as poor caretakers as the creators, and allowed their world to be shattered by a hostile race; the Colossi. The Titans and the Colossi wiped each other out.
Many Gods emerged in the wake of this war, some wicked and some benevolent. They fashioned the younger races, who then suffered an age of Cataclysm brought down by the hateful influence of the dragons, who sought to rule until their own land was broken.
The High Elf Regime took the place of the dragons, but then the Legion arose in the south and made war upon them. The Regime weakened until the Mage Sovereigns of Talahaea overthrew them and the wizards subjected the world to their cruel authority. Yet all things pass, and the Union rose up against the Sovereigns and broke their towers in the War of Hubris, establishing the Church Octaval and the Sacred Republic in the light of the truest and most benevolent of the gods.
