Artificer's Guild
The Artificer's Guild is a powerful organisation, and the most influential and respected institution of arcane Magic in the Sacred Republic. It formed from the unification of various lesser guilds, brotherhoods and traditions in the wake of the War of Hubris, as the magical 'tinkerers' who had been seen as mere dabblers by the Mage Sovereigns enjoyed the fruits of their collaboration with the Union.
The Guild is responsible for training and policing all work undertaken by artificers, for the licensing of minor magical items and the strict control of construct creation.
Industrialists
Industrialism is a branch of artificing unique to the Republic. Industrialist rarely travel, since their work requires a substantial amount of materials and equipment, but devote themselves to perfecting the mass production of utilitarian magical infusions, such as healing potions, magical locks, sparklights and smokepowders, as well as military supplies for the Church, including mageslayer weapons and clerical seals. Such items need regular maintenance to keep their enchantment going, but can be produced on a scale few other nations can match.
