Changelings are as varied as humans and like them tend to be shaped by their culture and peers.

Ability Boosts

Changing’s mastery over their physical form allows them to shift where their power resides. Rather than having Ability Boosts at the start changelings have two floating +2s. Whenever they transform, they can move those +2 to another stat. The boost remains in those stats until they change shape again.  

Age

Changelings have no known upper age limit. It is known that the more a changeling changes shape pass what they can handle the quicker they reach The Fall. A point in the changeling’s life when they body begins to break down and come apart. Their true form become soft and loose not like that of a slime or ooze creature. When they try to transform bits of them fall off. Once the changeling hits this point, they tend to be dead within 1-2 years. Their transformed states become more and more simple leading most changelings to remain in the last form they used to buy as much time as possible.  

Size

Medium A changeling’s true form is one of a light gray humanoid with white hair, four red eyes, and hooves rather than feet. They have no nose or ears. Rather they have slits in those locations which function similarly. They tend to be around 5 feet in height.

Racial Features

Shapeshifting - A changeling can change form with little worry three, plus level/3 (min 0), times per day without worry. Past that point the changeling must roll a DC 10 fortitude save using the pre-transformed stat array. Each transformation after this increases the DC by 2. On a successful save they can transform with no problems. On a failed save their transformation isn’t perfect and increase the DC for the next transformation by 3 instead. The extent of the imperfections is determined by the degree of failure on the roll. Any nat one also removes the two +2s ability boosts until the changeling spends eight hours resting in their true form or 24 hours resting in a successful altered form.   The changeling must remain the save size category. The changeling can’t use magical or supernatural abilities from the races they transform into.   This is a supernatural ability.
    Altered Genetics - Changelings are immune to almost all non-magical poisons and diseases.   Why? Cause a virus will go inside and then freak out about how this human’s liver just turned into a dragonborn kidney.     However, for the very few non-magical poisons and diseases that they aren’t immune to a changeling is in a life-threatening position and should seek medical care as soon as possible. Most of these sicknesses prey on the unstable nature of their physiology. Preventing the body from reforming properly or causing the body to break down bit by bit.   This race choice requires purchasing the Rare Player Race Feat at character creation to use.
