Tyger

The Dayraid Brigade was a pirate crew that raided trade vessel passing through the Isirian Channel. Their piracy only lasted 3 months but in that time they made a large name for themselves before their arrest. This was thanks to the peculiar sails of their shuttleboat, the Tyger. The ship was a small vessel, roughly 30 feet long. However, its most iconic feature was the way its sails were designed. The fabric is cut into rectangular strips, each with their own wooden membrane. These strips are connected to axles that run up the ship's mast. At the mast's base is a series of levels that can alternate the direction its respective strip faces. These controls are complex and catastrophically dangerous if left in inept hands. However, the Dayraid Brigade's navigator and their captain, worked seemlessly in operating the device, and steering the ship's rudder.
The Tyger was nye impossible to intercept. It impossible maneuverability allowed the Dayraid Brigade to thread through cannon fire and cut off escape routes with ease.
