Sunken Rush

The Sunken Rush is an inland ocean on the continent of Kalliphar. It is believed that a kingdom of great arcane works once stood in this now vacant space, only to be destroyed during the Mortal Wars. People who walk the shores oft claim to see the ghosts of its citizens walking across the vast water, like they were still pacing through the streets and markets of the lost city.
Along the Sunken Rush is a squelching moss, entirely inert under Bala's light of day. However, once Krun dawns and night begins, this changing. The entity does not begin moving very noticeably. However it becomes active in seeking food. The slime reaches into the mind of those who wander close and lull them towards their respite along the rockier shores of the Sunken Rush. Even sailors who drift the inland waters, are lured by these mosses. Some claim to hear a siren's song, others speak of seeing loved ones encouraging them to approach. Arcanists believe that this is due to some form of telepathic ability the mosses possess, and some form of illusion magic. This has lead to speculations that the ghost of the Sunken Rush's destroyed city, are its last recorded memories, preserved by these predatory plants.
