Speaker
A title celebrated throughout the Comet Age. The Speakers are acolytes of the Isirian Pantheon, chosen by their respective dieties to wield artefacts known as the Opera of the Sages as singatures of their divine virtue. The status these artefacts allowed these faithful clerks to herald the teachings and parables of their temples.
A number of speakers spent their lives trying to spread their philosophy through speech. However, this was offset by the number of speakers that elected to have action drown out the words of their rivals. Soon each Opus was grafted into a tool of powerful magic, that allowed to Speakers to demonstrate their beliefs by forcing reality to bend upon them.
Speakers come and go, dying of old age, slain by assassins, or having their title renounced. But the Isirian gods are always searching for new blood to prove themselves worthy of their attention, praise, and the duty of heralding the truths of the realm.
Qualifications
The leading prerequisite to achieving the title of Speaker is to demonstrate your faith. The words, actions, and boundaries of all Isirian clergy must adhere to the conduct expected of their respective gods. The deity's watchs intently for any priest, herald, or clerk that embodies their ideologies. Once they believe they have found the perfect candidates they have them face trails to test their faith, before setting them on the path to their opus.
