Oath of Abolishment

Arcanum is a frightening practice to many. To shift the ways of realities to ones whim is a thought that not many could allow. As such some religious groups and cultists were born to contain and quell arcane malpractice. Those devoted to the controlling of mystics are granted the boons to resist their arts.

Oath of Abolishment Spells

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain access to the spells listed below.  
Paladin Level Spells
3rd bless, detect magic
5th augury, silence
9th counterspell, remove curse
13th banishment, resilient sphere
17th banishing smite, dominate person
 

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.   Arcane Bulwark. When you are damaged by a spell that you have saved against, you can use your reaction to take no damage instead.   Quell from Afar. As a bonus action, you target one creature that you can see within 60ft. You can use the attack action to do melee weapon attacks regardless of the distance for 1 minute.  

Greater Intention

At 7th level, when you are required to make a saving throw due to a spell or magical effect, you can use your reaction to perform a Charisma saving throw instead of the saving throw you would have to make.  

Fending Touch

At 15th level, a creature that you use your Cleansing Touch ability upon has advantage on their next saving throw. You cannot grant this bonus to yourself.  

Apostate Executioner

At 20th level, as an action you cloaked in a crystalline aura and eyes glow with holy light. For the next hour, you gain the following benefits:
  • You are under the effects of the Detect Magic spell.
  • You are immune to conditions imposed by spells that are cast at 5th level or lower.
  • When you are targeted by the Magic Missile spell, the missile reflects and attacks its caster.

Tenets of Abolishment

These promises are sworn before divine acolytes to sanction control of the wild forces of change.   Vigil is Paramount. Magic and magic users are too dangerous to roam free. They must be contained or, at the very least monitored at all times.   Rite to Resort. You will ensure that arcane practices will only be called upon when all other options have expired.   No Mercy for the Touched. Any and all renegade casters must be slain as soon as feasible.
