I Travel On
A popular novel amongst the spouses of sailors is I Travel On. An adventure book told in the style of journal entries by the book's protagonist, an unnamed seafarer whose voyage home into the arms of their love is brought to a screeching halt by a freak storm. The chapters follow this sailor's adventure, through wild islands, dangerous pirate crews, and a sea monster rumoured of by the other seafarers, all in the desperate attempt to return to their love, whom they describe vividly in their tome. The book's popularity skyrocketed when the author, Alst'inkryuk, began printed copies with enchanted passages. These illusory paragraphs shifted the physical descriptions of the protagonist's lover and the protagonist themselves to that of the reader and the reader's lover, respectively. Its popularity inspired Sari bards to create a theatre adaptation. Unfortunately the production flopped due to the lead's performance and appearance not matching up to the expectations of their audience.
