Crovess
The leading Agricultural domain of the entire country. Crovess is home to alchemists, herbalists, and farmers. The city also acts as a respite for traders and merchant carriages that frequent the Lush Green.
Government
Crovess is a commercial town, with no elected rulers or council. The farmers farm, the traders trade, and everyone must work to carry their own weight. Tallymen observe transactions throughout the town, ensuring that fair exchange is made and all are paid their worth, though some of the upper merchant families are able to bribe away their debts.
Defences
Crovess, as well as its neighboring towns, are protected by the military garrison dubbed The Ryefend. Patrolling the city and its nearby farms can seem like a dull occupation, especially when your vital duty is the slayer of pests, rather than terrors. But it pays well and is a largely safe career. 50% of the Ryefend are bored watchmen who had hoped for glory in protecting their home, the other 50% are slackers who saw an easy job with low risk and lucrative reward.
Infrastructure
The Harvest Wharf is a large agricultural district of the city, possesses hundreds of acres for livestock and vegetation. Herbalists and Brewers possess private workstations near their homesteads in the Worker's Walk. The Exchange Ward is where most of the intercity transactions take place. Families swapping chickens for apples, medicine for tea. Gold rarely crosses hands in this cut of town. Gold has far more use in the Trader's Welcoming, a series of shops that are rented by traders. Some even elect to buy out these properties to maintain permanent stead in this bustling city.
Assets
The Shading Willows provides unique flora and fruit that grant Crovess an edge in terms of brewed goods. These potions, ales, remedies (and narcotics), are their contribution to the Sariale Republic.
Guilds and Factions
There are numerous merchant guilds within Crovess, smaller offshoots of the capital's major markets, but there are also a few noble houses that manage the smaller town. Most notably House Thidanno, maintaining a "minute" hold of the city. Whilst other nobles control the bulk of things. There is also a minor circle of thugs named the Troughlot.
History
Crovess was the original capital of Sariale, its walls expanded from a simple farmhouse to a hamlet of crops, till it finally became a city brimming with livestock and growth. The Shading Willows on the border of the Harvest Wharf is the largest source of his expansion. Its rich fruits and herbs made Crovess' produce renowned across the continent.
