Critical Hits

In Agora, critical hits are guaranteed to hit hard.

When a character or creature makes a critical hit with a weapon attack or spell attack. The damage equals the damage die + the maximum of the damage die, and then the appropriate modifiers (if it applies).

Examples:

Eldritch Blast = 1d10+10 (Avg: 15 / Max: 20)

Level 5 Firebolt = 2d10+20 (Avg: 31 / Max: 40)

Mordenkainen's Sword = 3d10+30 (Avg: 46 / Max: 60)

Greatsword with 16 STR = 2d6+12+3 (Avg: 22 / Max: 27)

Level 5 Sneak Attack with Shortsword and 16 DEX = 4d6+24+3 (Avg: 41 / Max: 51)

1st Level Divine Smite with Greatsword and 16 STR = 2d8+2d6+16+12+3 (Avg: 47 / Max: 59)
