Channel of Entropy

The Channel of Entropy, formally known as the Thistrim Line, separates the continents Edephor and Zossar. The channel was common passage for trade vessels between the two lands. However, during the Mortal Wars, Mt Drivalcera erupted. From its vents, supernatural magma spewed throughout the continent, tainting all it touched with wild magic. This included the southern coast of Zossar, where the taint rested for many years. In recent years, ships travelling the channel have reported peculiar wildlife and unnatural oceanic phenomena causing unrest during their travels. The warped arcanum of Zossar is travelling once more. How far will its infection spread.   Many creatures are tainted by the Channel of Entropy, but few entities travel away from the coasts of Zossar. However, recent scouting parties have warned that humungous prismatic jellyfish have begun migrating into the Seichen Sea. Every creature caught in their tendrils has reportedly mutated from the wild magics their bodies possess. Zossant hunters have been fishing for these oozes to prevent their spread, but also to harvest the wild magic contained in the gelatinous heads. This new commodity, known as Zossan Ink is currently being experimented with in spell recording to see how it may revolutionise the arcane world.   In 422 CA, one of Edephor's Guide Towers was lost to the corruption of Zossar. According to swift investigations, taken from safe distance to the island, a Zossant expeditionary vessel had seemingly crashed into the island cliffs that the Guide Tower rested upon. Reports from the dockmasters of East Zossar's safe zone, the ship was indeed making a trip back to Zossant with a large cargo of wild magic equities. It is presumed that a pirating crew had taken control of the vessel, unaware of the danger, and released the magics which caused the crash in turn. The island is the farthest that Zossar's corruption has spread from the continent and has since been considered a restricted zone. Zossant officials have done their best to contain the event and prevent panic.
