Yth, the Progenitor

Yth, the Progenitor is the mother of all dragons. She birthed an innumerable amount of dragons over the countless centuries. While Yth had no true color of her own, each of her offspring was touched by a different color. In the end, her offspring fell into one of two categories: Chromatic and Metallic. 
Yth, the Progenitor was slain on 17 Ice, 563. This event marked a schism among her spawn. The Chromatic of her kin decided that mankind was evil and responsible for this death while the Metallic saw mankind as uneducated and decided that they would forgive them for this transgression. 
While Dragons are not seen often in civilized areas of Atera, they still war among each other in the high reaches of the Dragonrest Spire mountains.
