History

From 154 to Eternity, 822 Temswell was a booming city with well over 80,000 inhabitants. During this time Temswell led the nation in magical innovations, leading to an excess of wealth. Over time, this magical revolution led to an overdependence on magic. Even the commoners of Temswell had access to magic and magic-infused items. Many simple tasks were delegated to magical items.   In 822 the magical advancements of Temswell drew the eye of a powerful, young man name Kamzigul. The magic of this wonderous place enticed him, calling at his every desire. He studied amongst the strongest of Wizards and Sorcerers in Temswell, though he was unable to match their wit he maintained a level of competitiveness in his advances. The charming Kamzigul managed to ascend to a level of greatness unheard of for someone less than 50 years of age, nevermind someone who was only 18. In Eternity, 822 ruin came to Temswell. While working on a device that would ensure cleaner sewers and help purify the drinking water of the city, Kamzigul seemingly made an error. As the device was put in place a great beast of fire and sulfur ripped through the city, claiming the lives of all he encountered. This demon claimed the lives of over 70,000 Temswell citizens, laid ruin to the great city, and gathered many of the magical devices in the city. Kamzigul's body was not found among the wreckage of the city.   The aftermath of this devastation lasts to this day. The area surrounding Temswell is scared and broken, the ground still unable to bear crops, the air still thick with sulfur and despair.
