Gale's Breath Forest

Gale's Breath Forest sits on the South-Western edge of Atera. Though this forest has been thinned by the construction of Fortis-gale, Forwold, and Harsney, this remains an area dense with wildlife, monsters, and what some consider to be "uncivilized" people.   The deadly flora of the region makes it very difficult for travelers who leave the road. Because of this, not many people leave the beaten path.   The most dangerous area of Gale's Breath Forest is the dense center of the forest. This is home to the most lethal plants, animals, and monsters. The second most dangerous area is the foot of the Golden Summit which is where the larger, lumbering monsters call home. Ogres and Trolls have been sighted waring over territory close to the foot of the Golden Summit for many centuries, though the invading Trolls have only held control of the area for 50 years since the creation of the calendar.
