Nagesh
The Nagesh is a minor species of the continent of Euriss native to the forests of Mazzerin, Known for their grey skin, tails and strong legs, the Nagesh is considered the best climber in Euriss as they make their home some 50 meters over the ground in the tops of the GreatPine trees of Mazzerin. The Nagesh is a diverse race with a complex social system very different from that of men and elves. They have never been unified and has never been the major population of a country. The typical Nagesh that isn't living isolated in one of their many tree-top villages is ether working as a hunter of sort or used as a heavy lifter in Mazzerin's heavy logging industry due to their strong tails.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Nagesh is one of the shorter humanoid species of Euriss at an average of 1.3 meters in height. The Nagesh has two legs and two arms, as well as a large tail. The Nagesh has a thick almost scale like skin which can vary in a range of different grey shades, from almost black to almost white. The thick skin is made to protect the unusually large artery for the Nageshes height at 28 mm in diameter, these veins create red streaks around the body of the Nagesh and especially down the tail.
The tail is the most unique attribute of the Nagesh at an average length of 2 meters and a mass roughly 45% of their body mass the tail is a massive muscle evolved for climbing the huge Pine trees of Mazzerin. With their tail they can carry up to 6 times their body weight to the top of Grand pines which can grow as tall as 80 meters.
The Nagesh has a brittle and hollow bone structure not unlike that of a bird, accept the bones in the tail, which is significantly denser however not completely filled, a Nagesh tail bone is still much weaker than the bone of a human.
The Nagesh also have specially evolved feet for climbing and jumping, with a strong and highly pensive tendon to the heel and feet. They have five toes as most humanoid species but the 5th toe is significantly longer than the rest and sits much higher up on the feet, they are used to get a better grip on branches and related.
Biological Traits
The Nagesh has two genders, male and female. There are few differences between a female and a male Nagesh, the most noticeable is that the male has a slightly straighter face and significantly stronger legs, Males also has a slightly higher average body weight because of this. The average height is roughly the same and appearance accept for leg strength, face and sexual organs.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Nagesh diet consists of mostly meat and seeds from the GreatPine trees. The nagesh need to eat large meals at least 2-3 times a week but can go a few days without food without any trouble.

Geographic Origin and Distribution
The Nagesh is native to the GreatPine forests of Mazzerin. They are know to mostly live in the higher tops of the Greatpine because of the larger predators that stalk the Mazzerinian forests.
The Nagesh does live in most parts of Euriss today but they are few and far apart. Most still live in the Greatpine forests.

Average Intelligence
The Nagesh has an intelligence on par with humans, and is known to create new tools to make their average life easier. The Nagesh is also know to be adept at alchemy and astronomy and have invented numerous things throughout the ages most notably by the Nageshian Inventor Viztor Garitas known for finding a way to create clear glass.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Nagesh has high perceptive abilities with a good vision and hearing. The Nagesh is also very sensitive to touch and is able to feel very subtle changes and movements in the environment and around them. This is make Nagesh good hunders that can see and hear their prey from far away and are able to track the pray almost by feeling for footprints if they aren't visible. However they are also much more liable to pain, because of the heightened sense of touch.
