Poison Report - unknown black fluid

A compound of unknown origin that drove the animals and beasts of Knight's Marvelous Menagerie into a frenzy after being introduced into their water supply by unknown means. The head zookeeper, Remydwulfher "Remy" Lickspit, was the first attacked in the rampage, being savagely attacked by his lifelong pet, Rusty the rust monster. Unfortunately, the inky black compound doesn't appear to be long lived, as it loses its consistency quickly, possibly to exposure to air or after a certain duration in a creature's system. It is unknown what effects it has on humanoids.

Compound Description:

Forensics has completed work on the poison, although the liquid appears to be completely inert at this point, even going clear from its original inky black. The chymists believe that it is, or was, a poison.
