Olfernbolgs

Olfernbolgs are a species, mainly residing in the Olfern in the Ageless Realm, which are closely related to the firbolgs, which of the races that came first no one remembers. Olfernbolg tribes cloister in remote forest borgs or forts, preferring to spend their days in quiet harmony with the woods. When provoked, olfernbolg demonstrate formidable skills with weapons and druidic magic.

Time immemorial

The olfernbolgs of the Olfern live remarkably long lives - even compared to firbolgs. The most senior members of the current tribes still remember the Ancient Elven Kingdoms of the Ageless Realm. Tribes with such old members hold an unusual respect within the olfernbolg communities.

Olfernbolg Tribes

Hundreds of olfernbolg tribes reside inside the Olfern. Most of the tribes are very secluded and lead a hermit lifestyle. A normal sized tribe consist of about 40 to 60 members. All the tribes have approximately the same organization.

Rijk

The leader of the tribe is titled rijk. The title is not necessarily inherited, most of the olfernbolg tribes vote for their leaders. Due to the high age, many tribes have never seen more than 3 rijks. The rijk is easily identified by the circlet they wear - often made from living branches and roots.

All-seer

Each tribe has an all-seer who is known for their deep knowledge of the tribe's history and the history of the Olfern. The all-seer is a keeper of knowledge in its truest sense and the old all-seers bests any other humanoid scholar when it comes to ancient lore.

Borgs

The olfernbolg tribes live in strongholds called borgs. A borg is often a small enclosed area which is protected by natural rock or wood formations in addition to crafted protection. Some tribes have taken up residence in the old ruins from the Ancient Elven Kingdoms ; some of the most senior tribe members even remember the elves who lived there.
