Fall of Flowers

The Fall of Flowers was a battle fought between several of the warring parties in the 20 Year War . The battle is generally seen as the end of the Third Age and the birth of the Fourth.

Etymology

The battle got its name from the armors worn by the elven soldiers which resembled golden flower petals in their design. According to legend, when the battle turned in favour of the Downtrod Alliance they managed to push the elven soldiers of the Khovelahrn (common: the Third Elven Army) towards a cliff overlooking the battlefield. After a brief but brutal combat the elven soldiers fell over the edge to the horror of their comrades below. It is said that the present elven kings and queens lost all hope at this point and the Downtrod Alliance won the battle within the next hour.
