Edenists

The Edenists or known as the "Brotherhood of Heroes" internally are a Secret Society of High Ranking Powered Individuals. They use there Influence and Power to achieve there goals and push there agenda
The Common Belief among the Edenist are that Powers where Brought into the world to shepherd the weak to a new paradise. In order to to be accepted into the edenists the candidate must have powers of some kind.

Founding of the Edenists

They were Created by 6 Founding Members This Included Jeff Eden, Elizabeth O'Hara. Both Served as MI6 Operatives who served during the Cold war they became disillusioned with the distrusted that the government and the general population were giving them so they took off on there own. Using there connections and skills they built up a network of powered individuals all with a common goal to bring the rights of Powered individuals to the forefront of human society. Jeff Opened a School for Powered Youth and dedicated there lives to Powered advancement. and it worked. Society started to come around as Powers started to become more prominent the Edenists started to use there influence to grant heroes more power and status in society. but Jeff and Elizabeth both understood the Damage that Powers could do after the cold war. they and the first council started help put laws in place to protect not only heroes but the people they were sworn to protect

Political Structure

The Edenists Model themselves after the Roman senate and holds an Inner Council of 6 members positions These positions are based off the Founding Members abilities and are as followed

• The Princepe (Leader) - The Direct Leader of the Council and the Edenists
• The Fabrica (Smith) - Science\Technology
• The Virgo (Maiden) - The Visible face. PR\Political Influence
• The Bellator (Warrior) - Evaluating and eliminating threats. Training and Development of Combat Heroes
• The Sapientis (Sage) - Internal Affairs
• The Hospes (Stranger) - The Hidden face. Subterfuge, assassinations and cover-ups.

While the Council works together to direct the Edenists the Princepe has special powers amoung the Council by being considered the First amoung equels and often is allowed the final say. they also hold great power over the council itself by being allowed to override any decision the council makes. Though this can be a great risk for the current Princepe alienating them from the rest of the council who may wish to replace them for doing so.

Joining the Council

When A Position on the Council becomes empty The Council will put Forth Names for the new Council Member. once the Names have been brought forward. The council will choose 4 prominent Candidates From the pool. often the Candidate are already High ranking Heroes and High Ranking members of the organization. but there was a rare occasion of low ranking members who were given a spot on the council. after the Candidate Selection, the four Candidates are put through a set of trials set to test both there physical and Mental Resolve. this is further whittled down until 1 remains (in the event 1 can not be found among them the Council will vote for the Candidate) In the Event that the Princepe Position becomes Free The Council Will choose a current council member and then fill the missing seat (Gaining the Princepe position often requires more Political abilities then raw power and resilience)

Political Infighting

Due to the Nature of how the Council gained power after the Death of Jeff Eden and Elisabeth O'Hara. a culture of political infighting and backstabbing has become prevalent in the Edenist. and it is not uncommon for Assassinations' to take place for someone to move up in the ranks or frame someone to take the fall for a crime you committed. Because of this infighting it is almost imposable to get to the council without blood on your hands

Doll Maker Coup

In the year 2024 Following the Death of Madison Wainwright The Council underwent there standard Election Process. this time the Doll maker was able to position himself to take the position. following his appointment to the council he quickly asserted himself on the council. by ordering the councils exicution. the Execution was quick and swift. this was shortly after attempting to convince the council to follow him after there refusal he had his dolls swiftly executed the council. following this he quickly proceeded to eliminate his competition in the organization ordering the death of everyone who opposed him. this coup resulted in the death of 30% of the organization.
The Coup was Eventually Stopped by the Misfits after they managed to confront and kill the Doll maker at in his manor. though this lack of leadership resulted a power strugle as many people vied for power. this power strugle killed off or arrested many of the remaining members.

Post Doll maker

The reminints of the edenists were eventuly brought to heel under the combined leadership of Aisling O'Hera and Alex Carbunkle they formed the new council and started working on rebuilding the edenists from the ground up
