The Great March South

Military action

Led by three great Kings, an alliance of Humans, Elves and Dwarfs marched south and drove out the primitive Orcs.

Ever since the Age of Molding, Humans Elves and Dwarfs had long suffered at the hands of the primitive Orcish tribes in the south of Kontinent due to their constant raids, kidnappings and other incursions into their territory. It was only with the rise of the first Eternal King among the Elves that the idea of a concerted effort to stop these came to fruition in the form of a great alliance with the humans and later even the Dwarfs of Kontinent along with plans for a large campaign to permanently pacify the southern lands.   The March began in the year 706 of the Age of Giants when the first Elven legions marched into the west, driving the Orcish tribe out of the Maw Peninsulas with ease and pushing further south. Meanwhile the united Human forces made great progress in conjuction with the Dwarves, reaching the southern coast in the summer of the year 720 and met up with the elves to the west, paving the way for Human explorers and other opportunists to establish settlements and found what today is known as Cimyra. By the time the western campaign had come its end in 789 there had been no recorded raids or other attacks recorded along the former frontier with the Orcish tribes.   Resolute to drive the dark menace of the Orcs from the world completely, the Humans assembled their forces and with the aid of their allies began their march east, driving the Orcs before them with little resistance. It was only with the rise of the cruel lord of the Orcs by the name Grolbach Mowkoz that the alliance was halted, its armies ravaged by the fire of the Dragon Jawbreaker whom the Orcs had now seen fit to consort with. In a great final battle in the year 797, the armies of Elves, Dwarves and Men valiantly fought and defeated the Orcish forces led by Grolbach and Jawbreaker, slaying them both and scattering the Orcish hordes into the mountains where they've stayed to this day, reduced to little more than brigands and hunters of wild game.
