Iskander Aldori's Rebellion

The rebellion of Iskander Aldori's rebellion was the most recent attempt to regain independence for Rostland against the Surtova dominated Brevoy. It was led by the charismatic young Swordlord Iskander Aldori, who rallied most of the southern houses to rise up against the Surtova Monarchy.
Despite early successes, and the brief capture of New Stetvan, the rebellion was ultimately crushed when the main rebel army was smashed - and Iskander himself killed - outside of New Stetvan in 4772.
The Rebellion was joined by some tribes from the Zakdar Confederacy, though ultimately the war would split the coalition of orc tribes and bring it to an end. Some northern houses, including House Silverclaw of Stoneclimb also joined the rebels.
