Dragonborn
The dragonborn came into being sometime in the Age of Legends, originating in Northern Avistan in the land that would become Sarkoris. Throughout that age, they conquered an empire extending from the Icerime to the Tusk mountains, and as far south as the confluence of the Sellen. After the Earthfall, the empire collapsed during the Age of Darkness, though it survived in a much reduced form as the Kingdom of Sarkoris, sometimes referred to as the Drakarchy for its Dragon King Bahamut.
The opening of the Worldwound was the doom of Sarkoris. Bahamut was killed in the demonic invasion, and the dragonborn of Sarkoris were all but wiped out. They survived in pockets throughout the north - some as refugees, others are remnants of the Old Empire.

Common Myths and Legends
Dragonborn mostly worship the primordial dragons Apsu and Tiamat, though some have adopted the worship of the common pantheon of Golarion. A few worship a controversial third primordial dragon called Io, supposedly the divine life force that created Apsu and Tiamat.
