Caravan Raiders

Someone has attacked and plundered a supply shipment headed for Waystone. Evidence around the scene indicates Kobolds, however the tracks and escape tunnel have proved to be artificial, and numerous trinkets left behind at the scene don't match usual Kobold behavior.
Not far from the scene of the attack is a thicket covered in fangberry vines, but which also shows evidence of being infested by giant spiders.
The nearest tribe are the Sootscales, a river-loving tribe of Kobolds who live in the hills somewhere along the Shrike.
Kyra, a human child and a survivor of the raid, drew small cloaked figures as her attackers and indicated they arrived and left through a portal around dusk.
