Dolos Optical Camouflage
The Dolos system is a combination of sensors and adjustable pigments that make it possible to adapt the surface of an object as accurately as possible to its surroundings.
This means that non-moving objects can become almost invisible from a greater distance. But also moving objects receive a good, adaptable camouflage. In the case of shutdown, energy loss or damage, the pigments remain in the last assigned color.
The only disadvantage is the constant energy requirement of the system.

Utility
The Dolos system was originally developed by the colonial military, but it is already rather aged and no longer secret. It is now used by various military and criminal organizations. On the black market, however, it is still very expensive and newer variants can create more precise camouflages.
