Siofra

Small desert like planet, with almost no atmosphere.  Required to wear a vacc suit whenever leaving the main settlement.  Culture here was heavily influenced by neighboring system planet Ainsel, except the focus shifted from martial prowess to sex.  Here sex has become almost a religious right.  In order to be considered an adult and treated as such, you must no longer be a virgin, whether it female or male.  To trade here, a local must have vouched that you have lain with them. 
There is only one major city here, The River.
Despite having unusual customs influenced by Ainsel, Siofra does adhere to the government standards laid before them by the Spes Consortium.

Fauna & Flora

The plant-like organisms on this planet are mostly small shrubs, flowers and grasses, all of which have spectacular colors, but they tend to remain quite small. Trees are spread thinly, but they tend to grow very wide, allowing them to store plenty of nutrients for when they smaller species bloom and take most of the nutrients in the ground.

Surviving is usually extremely difficult, especially when nutrients are scarce and you have to choose between growing or reproducing. One species on this planet has developed a nifty method to prepare for this. Once full matured, this species will split into 2 versions of itself and attached to each other, so it's essentially reproducing. Once those 2 are fully grown, they newly grown version will either detach itself if enough nutrients are available or it becomes a storage unit for the original, if nutrients are scarce. If nutrients continue to be scarce, the original will use slowly consume the nutrients in the new version in the hope that new nutrients become available again and it can repeat the cycle.
