Qujaga

Half desert, half ocean, qujaga has almost no atmosphere requiring a respirator to survive. Large placid oceans dot the surface but there is absolutely no plant or animal life here. Despite this there are some humans living in the small mining town of Egrof around an extremely rare mineral deposit, Rhenium, which is used in space ship parts.
The culture here is almost completely encompassed around racing of mechanical vehicles. When people are not working they are often working on their vehicles, setting up new racing paths, competing or spectating.  Vehicles are built with beautiful aerodynamic design, both pieces of art and function.
