Gor

The atmosphere on Gor is not only thin but toxic especially when closer to sea level.  Fortunately at higher altitudes while still requiring a respirator to breath the temperature becomes extremely pleasant all year around, with plenty of fresh vegetation and plentiful mining resources.  Cities dot the entire landscape on top of high desert plateaus.  People are noted as being remarkably friendly and welcoming to outsiders causing a large amount of expats to migrate here.  You can find large populations from other corporations calling this their home.

Fauna & Flora

When nutrients are scarce, many organisms have methods of storing those nutrients for times of need. Some have become so specialized in this they can go for very long times without the need of additonal food, to then stock up when nutrients are available. However, some species on this planet didn't develop such methods. Instead, they simply take what they need, whenever they need it, from wherever they can. If nutrients aren't available in the ground, it will take them from others, including its own kind. This has occasionally lead to the survival of this species, but the downfall of another.
Despite such a lack of nutrients what's the most remarkable species is a barely sentient mammal. These large mammals have bark-like skin, comparable to the skin of an elephant but with the texture of a dragon's scale. These mammals are slow and docile, which they can afford to be with such armor, but their gentle nature causes moss, plants and other small organisms to grow on their skin. Some individuals look more like walking trees than a member of their own species and it has lead to unique micro-ecosystems.

Tourism

People come here to enjoy the culture and watch the Gor Behemoth  slowly pass the cities.
