The Maiden's Bane

In the land of Frostmoore an evil Duergar named Xardarok Sunblight sought to destroy Ten-Towns using a dragon made from a rare magical metal from The Age of Arcanum known as Chardalyn. The dragon destroyed many of the ten-towns and in the town of Avalstrand a group of heroes--known as The Maiden's Bane, along with the commonfolk of ten-towns, made their final stand against the dragon. Many lost their lives but The Maiden's Bane were victorious and the town was saved. Out of excitement the bard Kelkur Silverhide improvised the song and the entire town joined in with him singing. It has since then become a favorite shanty to sing while drinking in the region of Frostmoore.
