The town in its earlier form (name?) was slightly more prominent as a fishing/trading hub. When a lake monster (lake name?) began to destroy fishing and trading vessels, the economy of the town ground to a halt. Avicia was a hero, said to have come from nearby in the Akkor Mountains, who sailed into the lake, slayed the monster in epic fashion, and brought the body back to the town for a feast, now celebrated on 24 Poleto as the "Feast of Saint Avicia." The old sagas that feature Avicia pre-date the Cytrian Invasion, so the Bornican Church likely canonized Avicia in an attempt to spread Praverianism to the region.Jean-Alexander Éperdu ("Ander")
