Duchess Beata of Braseik

A 24-year-old human woman. She is short and stocky with frizzy brown hair, dark grey eyes, wide nose and mouth, and a prominent jaw and chin. She wears her hair in a large braided loop that hangs down her back, covering the top of her head with an intricately embroidered version of a typical merchant's cap. She is one of the most well-educated human individuals on the continent, and she knows this. (She/Her)
Beata succeeded the Duchy of Braseik after her father, Tomáš II, died from the Hacking Death in late 976. Having served on her father's Council of Advisors since she was 13, Beata wasted no time retaliating against the Empire's increased taxes and tariffs to serve the regent's "Dwarven Wars" in northern Rovasna. Gathering ten lords in a secret meeting in Carnache on 20 Jaro, 977, she gained six signatures for the Aevrosi Concord, declaring the participating lordships independent from the Cytrian Empire, and therefore in open rebellion.
