The Consul of Canterune

The highest political office within Canterune, but this office is two-fold. There is always two which deliberate on great matters, elected into their positions by the High Court of Canterune, and holds power to consider the actions of its territory - meeting with a great group of high officials, otherwise known as Magistrates - and usually belonging to one of the magical houses. It is common that the Consul is usually the principal figure of the magical academies of Canterune, and part of its Metropolis elite. One belonging to the mages, of which is a high proportion of the elite and powerful, and the other Consul belongs to the common people, representing all of the mixture of humans, dwarves and elves, half-elves, halflings, gnomes and otherwise. Elected in ceremony, and the Consuls hold office for a period of 4 years before the next election occurs. Should their rule come into question, then it comes to the High Court of Canterune to delegate and deliberate upon any action that shall change the person to which is enrolled into this position - usually belonging to the Seven Great Mage groups, and the Eight High Houses of Canterune.
