The Mother Mire is the strongest and most powerful of the Hags within the Anbraba Wash - leader of the fickle Hag coven, and the first to conceive of the Changeling race. All powerful temptress, Fey in origin, now corrupt and blackened by the evil pursuits of this monstrous coven, seeking power and the souls of others - taking the shapes of all that the Changelings have come about to it, taking their faces, taking in their youth and beauty, and the essence of their lives.
