Ordo Necromantiae

Public Agenda

The original agenda of Ordo Necromantiae was that of priests that worshiped the god of death helping families prepare the dead for their final rest. This included all funerary rites and logistics across a wide variety of cultures. As time went on these purposes changed and dead that did not have family were repurposed as undead labor for a variety of projects. This proved to be unpopular but was begrudgingly accepted by the populace. Later after Veronique Allard took over this expanted into military applications creating legions of undead to stand up effective enough armies without having the burdens of logistics of a living army. This was widely unpopular among the populace and allied forces.

Assets

At its height, Ordo Necromantiae had a vast amount of reach among nations outside of the Raderan Empire due to their multicultural funerial rites. This lead to them being a diplomatic in times of trouble. This of course was before Veronique Allard took over leadership. The dead that did not have a registered burial arrangement were put into use as undead labor. This was a resource that could be used various heavy labor projects that are too grueling for traditional labor.

Disbandment

After the Onxy Rose War ended Ordo Necromantiae was disbanded. Those that broke off from the order wanted to bring back the old funeral traditions but under new leadership that was not tainted by Veronique Allards machinations. A new duty was also added to the practitioners to put to rest any rogue undead and track down any remaining necromancers of the old order. The new order became known as the Tutelar of Mortuus.

Military

At the time the necromancers had raised a formidable army of undead initially from the unclaimed as they were known but then those that fell in battle to the necromancers became further fuel and troops for the expanding army. This included skeletons, zombies, ghasts, ghouls, and a variety of incorporeal undead. Vampires from Ravens Crest also formed specialized units.
