Where does an entire sector of a galaxy dump its trash? In Authority space, the answer seems to be Nelima Prime. The planet’s surface is covered in piles of what seems to be centuries of discarded devices, broken-down appliances, and wrecked vehicles. The area is toxic to most organic life, but some Kallidans and Synthians manage to make a home there. Some of the inhabitants just like the seclusion. Others hope to find treasure buried amongst the trash. Some harbor a forlorn hope to make part of the planet habitable, while still others are just hunting for new parts with which to modify themselves. Outsiders think the residents of Nelima Prime might have a screw loose. Maybe some of them actually belong on a junk pile. Shipyard 7
