His role is to keep the Consortium’s legitimacy airtight, deflect audits, and ensure the black-market operations remain invisible behind layers of legitimate shipping data.
Those who dig too deeply into the Consortium’s finances or question certain “hyperspace anomalies” often find themselves dealing with Cassian first — a polite, smiling conversation that ends with a quiet warning. If that fails, the matter is escalated to the Inner Helix… and the individual tends to vanish.
